The great feedback loop with business strategy, product management, product development and product marketing need to be very agile. How do we do that?Rao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.comBlogger77125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-10207879392208674272012-03-11T20:51:00.000-05:002012-03-11T20:51:16.275-05:00Solution: Windows 8 Consumer Preview - Sound is not working?
If you are getting errors like 1297, and Windows Audio service unable to start, the problem is solved by fixing security group policy. The original solution was offered by MSDN user JW412 and works great! Thanks, JW412!

The only problem is that the user's posted parameters out of order. The usage with correct command line parameters is as follows:
No help *anywhere* on how to get around the problem of uploading media files along with your application to the phone.

It is a workaround and painfully manual, but this worked for me at least with myTouch phone:

1. Once your app is ready, hit 'Package for Phone' dropdown and 'Download to this Computer'.
2. App Inventor creates a local .apk file. Connect your phone using USB cable.
3. Copy the APK file to the root of the "Removable Disk" (the phone). **Disconnect the phone**
4. Using Android Market, search for "Apps Installer" and choose a better rated one.
5. Once you install the Apps Installer, run it.
6. The installer finds your App and walks you through the installation process.
7. Enjoy.Rao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-92198378363707286282009-07-23T15:16:00.006-05:002010-08-14T12:37:29.742-05:00Having trouble with getting Seagate/WD External USB drive 1.5 TB to work with your PS3?It seems Sony PS3 supports only FAT32 and the external drive comes pre-formatted with NTFS. So, after franatic search on blogs (and Seagate is *NO* help), finally figured out that they do have a tool called Disc Wizard to do this.

Warning: This is pre-programmed to work only their products.

Once you download and install this, connect the USB drive, startup the app.

Remove the existing partition (this will remove all existing contents on your drive, so be sure be very sure) and the tool offers formatting types. Choose FAT32. It takes about a couple of minutes and you are done!Rao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-53405156158401519232009-07-08T21:04:00.003-05:002009-07-08T21:14:21.453-05:00On a second thought, about this Google Chrome OS thing…
Some are even saying that this is a phony little war that doesn't hurt anyone. Since the just announced OS is vaporware at this point and mostly targeting for netbooks in the near future, Microsoft's immediate revenue is not in any danger. However, you can count on Microsoft throwing counterpunches to nullify low-end threat the Chrome OS poses.

Even with mobile phones, Microsoft gained marketshare in 2008/2009 and even outsold iPhone believe it or not. Android phones are just starting to come out, so we will have to see how big they are going to be. As for the netbooks, it is reported very recently that Windows XP ships in 96% of netbooks sold worldwide, up 10% from a year ago. Linux originally had good momentum, but it is losing steam due to a combination of users preferring familiarity of Windows and Microsoft's deft use of pricing and its size. It just shows how Microsoft fights back.

Also, note that Google says first netbook with Chrome OS is not out until 2010H2 and Windows 7 (which is expected to be netbook friendly) is due out in a few months. Microsoft would have the netbook market for 1 full year. I think all this adds up to moves and countermoves [at least for now].

Otherwise, Chrome OS better be one sweet friggin doozy.
Rao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-67910891825509854422009-07-08T20:55:00.002-05:002009-07-08T20:59:20.837-05:00Google Chrome OS, eh?I wonder what this will do to 'organizing world's information' motto. Isn't there a danger of just trying to become another Microsoft? trying to do too many things and not doing anything really well? Despite being a huge fan of Google, I am skeptical of this if this is just to attack Microsoft from a different front. Just as I don't see Microsoft as a search expert, I am skeptical of Google being OS provider. what's the overall strategy goal?

Could it be that Google is just trying to protect its search domain? One thing we know is that mobile internet based search is growing much more rapidly than that of PCs. If your bread and butter depends on search, you have to dominate mobile world as well. Ergo, the Google family of mobile OSes. I think this is probably the reason than Novell grade hate of Microsoft that's driving the OS development. what do you think?Rao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-50561648375446897842009-05-16T14:12:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.206-05:00Fuzzy front-end, market research, VOC, definition, roadmap, product line planning. #pcampRTPRao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-66877609629845419352009-05-16T13:28:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.206-05:00presenters talked about http://www.pligg.com/ for CMS and http://ping.fm/rODHP for logo creation. #pcampRTPRao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-46985045276620950252009-05-16T13:22:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.206-05:00SAS is a model with social media strategy: social networks, blogs, podcasting, video, wikipedia and content syndication. #pcampRTPRao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-49386802130367475832009-05-16T13:11:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.206-05:00B2B deals have so many characteristics such as relationships, long sales cycles, which social media attributes match up nicely. #pcampRTPRao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-66917277462594253112009-05-16T13:07:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.206-05:00social media = interaction+engagement+conversation+relationshipsRao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-24116166684460882542009-05-16T13:06:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.207-05:00Track 1: Enhancing B2B relationships using Social media. presented by socialmediab2b.comRao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-9453260990332279572009-05-16T12:53:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.207-05:00The book mentioned is Business of Software. http://ping.fm/qUva9Rao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-56135809987273946972009-05-16T12:43:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.207-05:00market visioning is an exercise that allows you envision concentric circles around what you do now and imagine possibilities. #pcampRTPRao Kasibhotlahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13069151561431961738noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38467766.post-60631015581043907252009-05-16T12:37:00.001-05:002009-07-09T18:52:41.207-05:00OH: vision without action is a daydream.
